About Miriam Stein

Miriam Stein is the founder and chief strategist of Saddlerock Strategies. Over her 20+ years in non-profit work, education, and school leadership, Miriam has developed a deep understanding of the need for healthy workplace culture, strategy, and program design. A specialty area is enrollment strategy for schools, camps, and leadership.  She has lectured nationally on enrollment strategy, systems, and workplace dynamics, and works with each client agency to create a tailored and personalized program to meet their needs. Miriam holds a BA in Jewish History from the University of Pennsylvania and Masters Degrees in Education and in Jewish Studies from George Washington University.

As a lifelong learner, Miriam is a graduate of Atidenu, Prizmah’s signature program in enrollment strategy training, in the Day School Leadership Training Institute (DSLTI), and is a certified executive coach, and facilitator in the Six Types of Working Genius by the Table Group. Miriam lives in the suburbs of Washington, DC with her co-pilot husband, children, and their dog, Ruby.

  • Director of Jewish Life at Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School, with responsibilities to plan experiential programming for grades 6-12 on a daily, weekly and annual basis. Programs ranged from daily 30 minute activities to large-scale curricular programs, and much in between.

  • Director of Panim el Panim, with responsibility to recruit 600+ students annually from across the country to Washington, DC for advocacy training

  • Graduate of Atidenu, Enrollment strategy training through Prizmah

  • Member of multiple search committees for community leaders and school professionals
